The ANP intends, with the aid of the IADB, the execution of the construction works of a new multipurpose berth –Wharf C, over Dock II of the Montevideo Port. This wharf will be at +14,00 m above sea level, 330 m long, and will operate with overseas vessels This includes the construction of a 3,5 ha esplanade and the facilities for its proper operation.
It is done the supervision of the final plan set and construction of this wharf and its associated works, including: follow up, monitoring, legal, technical, environmental and financial review and control of works and their constructive results, reporting to ANP’s Works Management Direction. It is necessary to highlight the Works supervision of the dock and the manouevre circle dredging.
Services were executed in four stages, with a 28 month works schedule:
1. Phase 1: Follow up of the preparation of the final plan set by the Contactor, including those field works that might be necessary. Follow up, control and supervision of Contractor’s tasks and provisional works, such as rethinking and construction of workshop, access roads, drinking water lines, and electric power lines.
2. Phase 2: Follow up, control, supervision and advice to the Construction Works Management regarding all events and activities of Works, including the dredging Works.
3. Phase 3: Follow up of preparation of as-built plans by the Contractor.
4. Phase 4: Complete inspection for control and verification of all constructed facilities and works conditions. Advising on quantities and works the Contractor must propose for repair of possible defects in works, and subsequent follow up and control.
