The objective of the consultancy to be undertaken by CSI is the follow-up and control of the activities related to the environmental and social management system on site of the Vientos Los Hércules Wind Farm, 97.2 MW, for the company EREN, in Santa Cruz, Argentina in order to ensure compliance with local regulations as well as IFC standards by preparing all the necessary documentation for compliance with the requirements of the funders. Work will be done on site with the Site Owner Engineer of the company Eren, in charge of the construction monitoring, and will also have the support of CSI multidisciplinary team from the central offices in Uruguay.
CSI has extensive experience in environmental impact evaluation, monitoring, control and monitoring of wind farms financed by international banks, for which solid knowledge of their directives and environmental safeguards is required. Among the parks for which CSI carried out these works are: Tales del Maciel I Wind Farm, Minas I Wind Farm, Caracoles II Wind Farm, Florida Wind Farm, among others.
In this way, CSI will be turning the experience acquired in the development of wind energy projects in Uruguay into Argentina, where an ambitious plan of incorporation of non-conventional renewable energies is taking place. As of today, and under the “RenovAr” program, more than 3.80 0MW have been awarded and it is expected that these will be incorporated to a greater extent in the coming years until reaching the objective of covering 20% of the demand from these sources, for the year 2025. CSI plans to accompany this process by supporting and providing services to companies linked to these projects.
